We usually pop in to the Tesco for last minute shopping, depends how fresh we need stuff, which depends on what equipment we take.
Basic plan is get there, get the camper parked somewhere, get flags and lights up and have CS people come over and set up.
It's never easy but the main priority is to get close enough so everyone is safe and away from anyone fancying a rev limit competition at 4am.

Is it a better idea if we get there when it opens and try and get the smaller of the two camping fields right at the far end so we're in the corner and away from as many idiots as possible?

One the other side past the stands? The feild at the far back where you need a stand pass to get on to camp!
Normally much quieter tbh!

Nah i didn't mean that one As you come through the gates you follow the road round and past where everyone parks when they come for the day, either side of the road, then as you go further you get to the first camping field where the toilets are on the bend in the road. If you stay on the road you go past the arena bit on your right, then where the smackhead tent was 2 years ago, then the field on your left where everyone camps splits into two due to a barrier i think it is. Directly across from where the dodgems are. If we go the other side of that barrier past the dodgems its a smaller field and if we get a corner we'll have hedges on 2 sides and then hopefully just all us lot surrounding. Meaning a good nights sleep away from the people that feel the need to redline their car at 5am.
Fairly detailed description but im sure you get the idea

Can I ask that convoys don't get too large.
Probably more sensible that we have a group who want to go to Tesco first, approx 10, then probably one per RO, a further 10 each.
NWNW convoy will be travelling M56 - M6 - M1 mid afternoon Fridays, times tbh.
It's also not uber critical that everyone arrives together, but it is of vital importance that you are there as early as possible.
Same goes for the show stand itself. We prefer to be first up best dressed.
