I had a VTR, went well for grp7 insurance, but compare one to a 1.4 16v sport with a few choice mods, and the corsa wins all the time....and the same with the 1.6, the red top gsi can be tuned upto 160bhp without the need of a supercharger or turbo.
both nice cars, but we all have one or the other because we prefer them, surely we can just let it rest....!? Peace! :-D lol
What on gods name is a red-top GSi? That would be meaning a 2.0 engine converted 20XE GSi. The 20xe gets its red top nickname from the colour of the spark cover on the standard engine, not because its an XE.

actually steve, being a hachback, i would hope the rear end was nice and solid, since there isnt much in that area to crush. The front end however is a different story. I expect that the french tat crumples like a brown bag in a supermarket.

No, the inlet manifold was different.
There was a 3bhp difference between the X16XE and the C16XE. If you can guess which one was the more powerfull you will be forgiven.
