Anyone know how to turn it off on the Astra coupe or do you need to wire one of those switches in somewhere?
There's a fuse you can pull which turns it off, knocks off your abs as well though
Ah Cool
You also lose power steering by removing the fuse. The switch, wires and trim panel were only £27ish from vauxhall when I got one for my astra a few years ago.

Yeah they are sat in my living room waiting to go on. Wanted to get it lowered before I put them on and got that done yesterday so will get them on early next week.
Might go stand one next to my car now and get a pic actually!

its shite in the fiesta, worst option ever wish i had dodged it, the benefit in the snow wasnt great and it kicks in all the time when you lose traction. On the dyno it limited power down to 95bhp when it was kicking in from 160bhp

Not sure if it used to but I ditched the ABS anyway so that would have also removed that as well I think.

on my cooper s it was terrible- couldnt drive when it was on ...bizaarly it was worse in the wet than it was in the dry.
On the clio its awesome - I never turn it off - and barely notice it - just does what its supposed to and no more

Finally a sensible answer!
I don't get why anyone would turn it off straight away? Surely you'd only ever turn it off when going for a bit of a boogie?
Or are you all tools and drive like idiots 24/7?

Turn it off occasionally if I'm going for a blast. Otherwise leave it on all the time. Don't really find it that intrusive, certainly not enough to warrant having it off when driving normally.

I never turned it off in the Ibiza... can't in the Alfa. It's still too intrusive for my liking though.

Wouldn't even do it then, margins just aren't big enough to be correcting something like that yourself.

Realised its a two stage TC so turn off the DTC which allows some slight slip but reins you in when you loose talent.
Turned it off fully and realised how lively the rear end was with worn RTAB

can be quite restrictive on the gti so when im having a play it goes off, normal driving it stays on

I don't understand why people turn it off.
You have a matter of inches to correct a slide from the back end on the road before you clip a kurb.

I turn off the ASC in the TT when i want to launch it. As when it detects slip it applies the ABS to correct.
Other than that i never notice it.
