R8 without a doubt, but the A5 is a great car.

The 2.0 is underpowered. 3.0 TDi is where it is at. I have had both for long periods and I still believe that the Audi 3.0 diesel lump is one of the best engines currently available.

What would your budget be for the R8/911?

If it was between the Porsche and the R8, I'd take the Hitler mobile. Couldn't you get an RS in that price bracket yet?

Would be 2L Petrol i'd be getting 211bhp. Less than i'm used to but a nice comfy classy car.

Budget for R8 would be just above entry level to buy a good early one - 60k??. I'd want to stick down half & finance the rest.

You'll be away more than 3 months of it anyway then And I'm sure Trisha will help you cope until you can get your motor Still think it should be an RS though

WTF are you gibbering about? There is a major difference between someone asking about placing money into shares for the next 5 years before deciding if he can afford his dream car, than someone selling the car they have, waiting a couple of months then doing the same His dreams are not more important. They are more viable.

GTR's a league on its own regarding upkeep & depreciation when compared to anything else. Its money thrown away for whats not even a prestige car IMO.

R8 would be nice to have sat in the garage as your special car. I don't think you get the same effect from an S5 or the BMW.

they are nice cars people use everyday then get rid of after 3yrs.
