It depends what pads you are running too. If you are using a race pad like a ds2500 they only really work when hot and you'll never get a big disc hot enough to keep the pads at temp as your car is light. Also, steer clear of Hispec. Ian has them on his Puma and they are poo compared to my brembos with same pads and same size discs.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

ds2500 isnt really a race pad, they work really well from cold.
glad someone agrees on the hispec front tho!!!

Why don't you sack all this on the head and save it towards a Megane R26 like you wanted to do not long ago?

Think you should just leave the brakes and upgrade your car to the FRP.

I agree, my ds2500 on my Corsa with Turbo calipers/disks were spot on even from cold.

I think there's more to it than that - bed in procedure and master cylinder size/capability being two variable factors which could affect things.
I don't buy that a caliper of one brand would be that different to one of another brand, there is not that much variation in the design surely.

apoorly designed caliper can flex a lot compared to a well designed one.

mintex pads, not sure how much yet, not much really, calipers were refurbed by me, all new seals, slide bolts, etc etc.
Probably sell the lot for about 70 quid
