TBH i cant comment as its only ever had run flats but I find the tyre noise relatively low compared to other cars

Tyre noise can be doen to the make of tyre i.e some manufacturers are more noiser than others not just because its runfalt

My A3's non runflats were noisier and tramlined more than my Mini's runflats.

my boss got rid of run flats on a brand new BMW, tried different wheels, still not keen on the way the BMW drove, so got rid after a few months and replaced with another Volvo

Thats personal preference - i,e not everyone will like the drive of a car but volvo's are not the most dynamic cars so he should have done his research and test drove cars before picking the BMW

tbh, he and the wife said they were too firm and felt too many of the bumps in the roads around here.

in 10yrs of driving and loads and loads of punctures (office carpark is full of nails from the wood shop)

i can honestly say, i've never needed a runflat or emergency tyre gel.

Depends on the brand, its generally accepted that they can handle better as they have a stiffer sidewall too.

After switching to non run flats I would say they are not as bad as people make out and they are standard fit on several performance BMW's as they have spent considerable money developing the tyres.
