On pc/android just type the ip address into the browser and use flash, there might be an app for it too. I use "Dreambox Live" on my iPhone/ipad and "iDreamX" on my macbook.

If I get a chance today to have a look I think I'll order an openbox S10 to try it out.
Want to make sure I can deal with it not being official sky before spending £300 on a proper box.

Been looking into this over the weekend and it all seems fairly straight forward.
My only concern is if the cam provider is offline (or your net connection goes down), which case you're limited to FTA channels as the box is unable to query the provider for the encryption key(s). Would be better if the box could cache the keys locally and periodically update them; although I've yet to see any method of doing this. There's also the issue of over-subscribed providers which can causing slow channel changes and/or other issues.
Currently having a look at multi-tuner softcam HTPC setup, using something like MCE, as it'd work out cheaper than the £400 dual-tuner VU box (which i believe is the only multi-tuner box available).
Still though, £60-80 per year for the whole Sky lineup

Most providers won't list options/prices for multiple 'subs' (c-lines? believe that is the correct term) so you need to contact them prior to purchasing.

I looked at the S11 but consensus from a quick browse of the forums seemed to be S10.
Got it for £63. Hopefully sell for not far off that on ebay when I'm finished.

You got yours from eBay didn't you? New/used?

Keep us/me updated on this, I'd be interested to see how it turns out.
EDIT: John, you mentioned you're getting one to test first to see if you can get on with it OK before you dump Sky - there's a video here that shows the screen of a 'skybox' (probably openbox given that it says s11), if you're anything like me you hate slow menu / channel changing, pretty quick in the video.
Shame they don't have an EPG but for the price you can't grumble.

I got mine from sat4all, was about the cheapest I could see it.
Cheapest S10 on ebay seems to be more expensive.

Just checked them out, same price on eBay for the S12 with free delivery.
Also just noticed that they (S12 at least) have PVR through USB and 7-day EPG.
EDIT: Come across this seller, about £45 when exchanged to GBP, with free delivery

S11 is supposed to be a carbon copy of the s10 but wih a scart socket... Which won't get used tbh I'll be keeping my sky sub and box for the time being, just be nice to be able to get all the sport and films without paying through the roof.

The consensus was to buy the S10, that's why I went for it over the cheaper ones.
From my brief reading there's some problem with european EPG's in general.
I think the S9, 10, 11 and 12 have the PVR function, they all use the same chipset just varying levels of bits stripped out and quality of components.

Yes, but its a fixed dish so you'll only get UK channels.

Box and a subscription, they require very little setup from what I've seen.

Just read a couple of posts about servers not allowing you to do card sharing on a sky broadband connection.
Anyone know more about that or is it just they won't accept you as a server from sky?

What's the deal with Box Office? Can't seem to find a definitive answer, although i'm assuming it doesn't due to the way it's implemented.
noshua - It appears to be straight forward if you use something like DVBLogic's TV Source (£20; can't find it cheaper ) which apparently allows the users of CAM servers. The only issue appears to be processing, so i'm not sure if you could get away with ITX based setup (ION boards etc); will need to do some further reading on this.

They seem to get a box office movie a week, which would suggest that they just buy one movie a week on that sub.
