Do you think it'll be on strong enough?
With all this talk about downforce, are you not scared that you'll just run over it and smashing your underneath when it comes off?
I've no idea, btw
Just curious.

the underneath is a flat floor so nothing to damage, and i recon it will be fine and we have put on on the race car and its seen 2 events without a hint of a problem.
here it is.

Canards, they're aimed at a particular angle to help turn in, iirc?
I just can't help but think its a flat piece of wood. How does this help?
I'm not clued up about downforce.

basically ...
'The splitter works by separating or 'splitting' the volume of air that hits the front of the car. The job o the splitter is to reduce the volume of air that is permitted to flow under the car and must therefore travel over it. The smaller volume of air is able to travel faster and as a result reduces the pressure under the car. This effect is really a matter of reducing lift rather than generating downforce as such, as is the inherent nature of most road cars.'

Personally think it looks good chris and will tie in nicely with the spoiler! Are you putting those metal things on that hold it up? I dont know what they are called?

i wasnt going to no, they are only used to make it so the splitter is angled so its flat/slightly pointing down. shhouldnt really need that on this and its pretty firm really, you can almost stand on it.

Where was this quote from? A splitter produces downforce by providing a surface for the high pressure at the blunt nose of a car to act upon. That quote is confusing splitters with airdams.

So its the next step once those are ticked off? Does yours just mainly help in higher speed corners?

I just think that everyone on here bar Fee & AK maybe can get faster times by improving their driving before adding pointless things like that. I find it very hard that anybody is pushing their car to the limit so much so that they need this to take milliseconds off per lap by bolting bits of wood to their car

the splitter on jimmys car actually helped the car stay stable at knockhill and gave him much more confidence to drive quicker. its not just about milliseconds.

along the leading edge of the bumper with large washers to spread loads, alu bracts at the wheel wells and good old cable ties to the rear of the subframe.
