Got my hotmail account which I've had since '98. Got a gmail one which I only have for the sake of my phone and of course my main one which is with my own domain.

Since we're on exchange and google apps, I've not got a static IP anymore so am moving back to google apps.
I know I can do it without a static IP but don't like it.

my issue with gmail is the way it groups emails as conversations, is annoying when you delete something in sent items for example then it deletes the whole bloody lot from inbox aswell if its part of the conversation, can you turn on contemporary email?

it does group, but it also splits it into splits it into individual emails at the same time. so yes, the whole message is there, but you havent got to scroll through 12 pages of it, just click the email you want

Yes you can. You can turn that view off, why you would want to I don't know. So much better.

I never ever delete email. I've been using apps for 2 years now and I'm only on 3% of my space. I 'label' everything and file it away. Same with my work exchange account.
I like the conversations thing... you can turn it off though I think
