See if you strip the paint off and polish it really shiney...The shine actually reflects the rust away.

got marine clean, metal ready, rust protection paint and the solvent cleaner, and some little brush and caliper paint.

cleaned my arches again at the weekend and the paint i did is nice and shiny and rock hard, compared to the hammerite in the rear arches that is dull thin and flaky.

all my arches are coated with Schutz stuff and painted body coloured, so i won't be doing the complete arch, plus i bought grey paint.

am just going to use it to patch up areas of underseal/rust, then spray over it with the schutz and then corrado colour

its rock hard stuff, it actually resembles powdercoat more then paint when it sets, do not get any of your skin though as it does not come off for weeks

i think the metal ready is some kind of etch primer, not sure what marine clean does, think i wash stuff with that first, then the metal ready, then the rust paint or caliper paint
