Keep your mileage under 6k.

How do they know what you've done?

I like how you blame a whole country because your insurance is too high

It is my understanding that the example you give above is for a fault claim! Yes it may not have been your fault, but as you have claimed and the costs can't be subrogated to another insurer it goes down as fault.

[Edited on 01-09-2011 by Pop]

no its non fault, because its not your fault. its not a trick question.
the only claims you have to declare are ones where your insurer has paid you out and not recovered in full from someone else.

Read what you have put, you are contradicting yourself! In a hit and run situation where you claim, your insurer pays out and can't recover in full from anyone. This is a fault claim. You have tried to describe it as both non fault and fault.

Oh and you have to declare all claims to your insurers, fault or non fault, for the specified time period that they ask.

They'll probably ask for your MOTs in the event of an accident so they can cross reference. They'll always find a way out of it where they need/can do

Impossible to prove mileage.

I could do 1000000 miles in someone else's car on my own insurance.

Mark - Have you tried online with LV? We went with them this year as they were significantly cheaper.

Aviva have also just launched a new product which is supposed to be competitive through www.quotemehappy.com

In insurance terms why do you value diesel less than petrol?

Only place that will insure me for anything reasonable is Greenlight.

S3
29
10 Years NCB
No Claims
6 Points.

Pay just under £600 with Greenlight, next cheapest quote was £1300.

Oh yeah, it was £500 last year!

LV didn't show up anywhere near on comparison sites for us but were great direct. You should also try that quotemehappy.com site as it should be cheaper than Aviva Direct as you basically do all the work and print off your docs etc.

Sucks that some nabs in your area affect your policy, would be nice if they just had a set rate when you start driving and asses your price based opon your previous years driving and of course the vehicle in question.

Insurance groups don't seem to matter

at the lower end of the scale either, group 13 corsa B 1.4 sport is cheaper then a 1.2 sxi group 7 corsa C..

Insurance is a joke, I pay less on my v8 disco than I can insure a 1.2 corsa b for

Fair enough, I am out of ideas. Sounds like you have got a pretty decent price under £1k now.
