Much prefer the E46 shape, and as others have said the CSL is a bit special.
1M is all out of proportion.

I think the 1M looks good untill the shots with the e36 which makes it looks all squashed and small in comparison

Wow it's amazing what you find.
The 1M is my wife's car and I really can't explain how capable a car it is.
She uses it every day for the school run, shopping trips and anything else she can throw at it.
Times have changed since our space ship (106 days) haha.
Her 1M is mapped with full miltek and intercooler and the bloody thing gives my R8 V10 a bloody good go.
Crazy to think I joined this forum 10+ years ago, time flys.
Some other pics from the other day when Myself and the wife had the R8 and 1M out , it was good and slippy but great fun and we got the cobwebs blown out from them.
R8 has been pretty much used non stop throughout the snow but the 1M was stuck in the drive and wouldnt move.
I can confirm the 1M gives the R8 a bloody good go and that the wife has bigger balls than me.

The 1 coupes are growing on me, thought they were very daft when I first saw one but like all modern stuff it does become the norm and older stuff gets dated. I do think you can tell the E46 is the older car.
R8 looks well. Winter + no roof
