Deffo. It's designed as a city car not a GT car.

Whats a good average price for one of these?
What are they like to drive?
Good up to 100mph as already said but anything past that and it gets a bit droney! Good laugh when thrashing them about B roads tho! Steering feels goodl not to light or that! and they are quick to rev altho the box isnt the best feeling box in the world.

Common problems to look for?ermmm The service and airbag light come on every now and then if u have passangers in the bck or that but u just need to fiddle about with wires under the seat! Hate it when u get asked what u drive tho and say "Clio" then feel the need to explain that its a 182 llf!
Good and bad bits?

Look good and are cheap as chips just now, Its french!
Heres mine anyway, have got a set of turinis to go on aswell tho( cup 172 wheels same as above)

I have, they are fantastic and wideley regarded so. You can't count John's comments as he like turbocharged diesel rep mobiles and is unaware of what a rev range is.

I cant see how you think they are dog shit? Dynamics are some of the best ive seen on a FWD car. The only "better" one ive driven is a Megane R26 F1

I'm all for buying 172's now btw, lot of car for the money, I'd actually look at getting one if I hadn't already tried it.

I just personally thought it was crap.

may just be me then being spoilt with the fwd cars i'v had. i'd rate my clio near the botttom tho. driving postions poor, seats are to high, steering does'nt have quite as much feed back as other fwd hatches, brakes need slightly more sevo assist, seem to be fixing never ending interior rattles, geargear is average. but other than that i quite like it all my own personal feelings tho

Mine never rattled and I fitted recaros as I didnt like the standard seats, they where too high but it wasn't as bad as people made out they where just hainously uncomfy! Gave me a bad back. I found the steering great, the ride was fantastic (182ff with cup packs) just a great all round car. But "limited" in it's use due to the gearing and road noise above 60mph. Not a great Mway car.

Perfect round town though
