It doesnt work like that. Put a shit manager in charge of a club and it doesnt matter how much he spends, they wont win anything. It still takes a very good manager to use the players correctly, man manage them (especially with the egos these days) and play the right tactics, in the right game.
If that was the case Chelsea would have won the league every year since Abramovich came to the club.

only using back 5 because it just so happens we have spent 17mil on a keeper, selective choosing going on here to support arguments, im quite happy to accept it if united have spent more on a team, but lets see comparisons across the whole team, not just a select few that support part of an argument
