Really? Glad it's just been done then

Been trying to find some form of service schedule, I know Insp 2 is the big one but can't find out what they actually do.

Insurance gap was quite big between the two for me, 1k+ but essential a manual M3 wouldnt be far off the running costs of an auto 330

2 days

Internet scaremongering at its best.

It's a full service and nothing more, what a con.

Yeah not all Inspection 2's need it, it only takes a day as you would hope a garage will leave the car over night before shimming/replacing the solid lifters.

By simply viewing that forum it feels like my wallet is lighter but then if you can afford to by the car, put rent and ticket on it and fill the tank....

Good thing I drive a simple car made by the first ever car company

Would you be comfortable doing it on an engine which is a few grand second hand?

Fad, that's what I mean, you need to leave it with them overnight.

No, but I am comfortable fitting boilers that are a few grand, its my job. if a DIY has said its easy then a BMW main dealer technician should find it a walk in the park

Im not trying to argue as Im not particulaly arsed. a tappet adjustment is a tappet adjustment

If there's an easy to follow guide on the internet and you don't want to pay a grand for an apprentice getting paid less than you to do it then it doesn't really matter how much the engine is worth.
