I hope he gets some money !
Was over the top really.
Should have let him on the train, called police on the radio to turn up at the next station and they would have taken it from there, sorted.

I'm pretty sure the police have better things to be doing than escorting some mouthy skinny student cunt off a train?
Shit like this boils my piss.

so the lesson is, dont buy a ticket. get on a train. refuse to move, get thrown off the train and end up with a scratch on your face then claim thousands? thats easier than trying to win the lottery.

This! It's too low priority for the Police to do anything there and then. Unfortunately the kid not having a ticket and refusing to leave the train, which ultimately resulted in his cut(s), will get overlooked and the bloke will get bollocked left, right and centre.
Edit - Nic, yeah basically!

I don't see why they wouldn't ? To travel without a valid ticket is a criminal offence.

the reason he got slammed is because he tried jumping back on, which he wasnt entitled to seeing as he had no ticket.
sometimes you need to use force else hed just jump back on again
That's not reasonable force though. He could have been ejected which we has using reasonable force and he could have been preventing from re entering using resoanble force but the picture of his face says it all. Everything was fine as far as I was concerned until the choke slam. Now whilst he might have warrented from what we have seen the dipolmatic side of says we don't his story and why he hadn't got a ticket.

They just wouldnt. Happens all the time. My mates a conductor and the Police don't care about a kid skiving off a £5 train fare.

That was pretty sweet.
Little bastard deserved everything he got.
How much do you think the family in the video spent on their tickets? People have zerp tollerance for tax evasion, people with no insurance, so why should this cheeky little bastard get away with dodging a fare.
I read that article as though they were investigating non payment, not the up standing citizen...

do they not have transit cops in scotland.. this would have been a non insident here.. the police or the transit guys would have been called and would have arrived in no time.. he would have had a nice trip to the cell.

We have British Transport Police down this way so they would have attended.
However, I agree with Barnshaw, no matter what the outcome it would have been prevented if he'd bought a bloody ticket!

People seem to forget he didn't get that cut from being throw of the train. He got that when he tried to illegally enter the train for a second time using force.

idiots in this thread saying they hope he gets a payout are exactly whats wrong with this country, he was in the wrong in the first place and if he had a ticket like everyone else he wouldnt have got thrown off, if that was my son and he came home and told me what had happened i'd have said serves you right for not having a ticket!

Learn to read, just an idiot, not idiots (Me)
Indeed he was in the wrong but I don't think that's the correct way to deal with it, saying the public will be annoyed and saying I'm getting paid for this pal, might have worked back in 1960 but now it's different.
The big guy was over the top in my view and he has no right to block someone from trying to enter the train.
Public pays loads to fund trains, if they can't sort out their own system other then ask other passangers to remove someone then
The train ticket is about £35 to for that one I believe, is what my mate from Glasgow said anyway.
I'm not on the side of the kid but when it's dealt with in such a neanderthalic manor as that I think both sides need to learn from it.
