Looks nice that, unsure about the colour of wheels but they arnt too bad.

What's the clearance on the front wheels like? Mine looks very similar to that but can only get half lock and iv even dropped down to a 215 tyre, looks like im going to have to raise it a few mm if there isnt an easy way to change it

Ambers really suit it aswell, looks different from most out there.

The fronts are 205/40's so theyve stretched a little but I've flared the arches quite a bit from standard. There is a tiny amount of scrubbing on full lock but its on the plastic inner arch.

Im not sure on the colour of the wheels either now. Looks like I've got wooden wheels on one side! Another colour change is imminent. Will it be white, silver, red, orange or anything else? Hmmm?

Il have a play with my suspension and see what i can do

Silver will obviously look the cleanest but it depends on the look you're going for. Red could look cool!

Will probably go back to black bu maybe matt black.

Last night around 2:30am while there were no machines broke down i got a work mate to turn off 3mm to start with.

Gotta try them out tomorrow when i've shortened the wheel bolts to suit

Today i manged to get round to fitting up the newly machined spacers. This is how they turned out..



Fitment is spot on now, so went out to take some pics.









I've got some 10mm spacers for the front, but dont know whether to fit them or not?

So its been a while since i posted any updates on the '36. Been busy on trackdays with my bikes and with blowing the engine on one of them money has been spent re-building that. So now thats sorted and i've had a bit of spare money i've done a bit of tyre swapping and spacer fitting.

On the rears i've had the 215/40's replaced with 205/40's that were originally on the front wheels. I've also fit the spacers that were originally 20mm that i machined down to 16mm.





On the fronts i've had some 195/40's fitted, aswell as fitting some 10mm spacers up front





The car is filthy at the moment but as soon as its washed and polished i'll get some better pics up

Click On Tyres fit them and had no worries about stretching on tyres. They even match Camskill on price too! If your local i would highly reccomend them!

It's looking good but those tyres seem very narrow. I know im on 17s (are yours 18s) but iv got 235s at the back and it's a good 15-20mm lower than yours and it doesnt catch without any arch work.

I sorted my front clearance issues out, im using a 215/45 tyre and just by raising it about 2mm i can now get full lock.

Edit : just realised yours are 17s aswell, get some wider tyres on

Kenny my rear wheels are 9j et26 with 16mm spacers - so in reality et10. When it had the 215/40's on they'd scrub. What profiles are your tyres. Get some pics up as im intrigued!

That will explain why then lol, i have staggered m3 wheels on so they're 8.5" at the back and the tyres are 235/40/17s. The arch is just about covering the top of the rim, you cant see any tyre at all and it never catches. Iv no pics im affraid but i could do with taking some so will post them up when i do.

Is there any reason you're using these wheels? There's plenty of bmw wheels out there in the correct offset that are proven to work on very low bms. Im not saying yours looks bad, just seems like a lot of effort to get clearance when you could of used some different wheels

What other plans have you got for it?

Its just a look i was after. Having the rim sit flush/just past was how i wanted it. Think the cool kids call it Hellaflush? If you look at the side pic of it from before the distance between the rim an arch is the same front and rear and this for me means its sat perfect for my wants/needs. If i went lower on the rear (which means removing top and bottom rubber spring seats) then it would be too much hassle to drive as the chassis rails would get battered. As it is i can drive it where i need to and when the time is right hard

I've no idea what they call it I just lower my cars as much as i can until it scrapes!

It does sit nice as it is, i bet it would be nice not having to worry about the chassis scraping, you should see my drive

Looking forward to see what's next, i like the standard orange indicators, i keep meaning to try a set on mine.

Its just some speed bumps where it grounds out but normal roads its fine.

I need to get a pic of it next to a a standard e36 coupe.

Not much else planned. Might paint the kidney gills black.

looks awesome now with the wheel spacers on, makes me want another one. Had a 318 IS coupe when i passed my test but was my bosses so couldnt play with it.

this makes me want to get one and play with it abit.. Keep up the work!

They're tiny looking once parked next to other cars, when i park between hatchbacks i always giggle to myself at how low the thing looks

That looks alot better in those pics! Only just realised you have different coloured wheels, was getting confused before thinking if it was just the light making them look black sometimes

I would definetly spray those grills black next and i think the blue on the reg plates spoils the look but that's just me being picky really.

Are you getting some thicker M3 mouldings for the sides?

I know what you mean about the plates but don't really want to spend another 30 quid on some more

I never got round to doing the drivers side wheels as i wasn't sure on the colour. Can't see both sides of the car at the same time anyway

Im keeping the side mouldings as they are cos i like the slimmer pov spec ones. Not sure on the rear bumper either. Think i prefer the standard one over the M3
