little update during the good weather i decided to wash n polish it and take some pictures

since i took the pictures next time i went out in it the oil light came on the dash i checked the oil and it was full looks like low oil pressure and it started to tap n knock noise from the engine took it down to a local garage and said sounds like oil pump and could be worth cleaning the valve but might have done damage and shit itself a week later, kinda gutted as only had it on the road a week but its pretty old so just one them things.

Stunning GSi wish i could find one like yours , just so hard to find now! Just to let you know. I think your car came from Motorbodies of Luton at some point, as i spy a MB sticker on your windscreen.

Yeah sounds like a luton car, from what i can remember most cars sold from motorbodies in the 90's had those stickers for advertising. So would have been from one of two of their dealerships they had back then . Yeah may find one at some point, thinking of maybe coming back to owning a corsa b soon, so ill see what happens

little update.. while im waiting for new engine to arrive i decided id make the most of the time its sat in garage and paint the inside flame red my gf wanted to spend some time together so....

so we spent a day doing that i had the heat gun

then went out next time and masked it all up ready for rattle can it out, halfords flame red was a pretty good match, i used filler primer to start on the scraped parts..

then red lead primer...

then it got 3 coats of paint inbetween coats we ran out of paint so a trip to halfords was made and we got hungry so set about some toastie making ...

kept us fuelled for more spraying..

and after laquer..

sorry about not great pictures as its in my garage but i will put some up of finished result once i get it back out, ive also painted the rear strut brace ready to fit...

next day i woke up and my finger was swollen and pretty sore from spraying allday but looks much better
