cable wont matter as they are just ribbon cable with the connector to go onto the switch

You're after a similar connector, hence why I pointed you in the direction of grabbing a motherboard header if you have one laying around as it'll probably fit (might need file some of the edges etc). Can buy the sockets but they're usually 'push fit' for ribbon cables rather than pins to solder to.
Otherwise use PCB header socket like >this<.
Just make sure you use decent gauge cable on the starter side of the relay; switch side shouldn't be a problem (for something like ribbon cable) as there won't be much current.
Edit - Something like >this< or >this< would probably work. Although might be able to get something off eBay cheaper.

Could do, seems a bit of a pisser to spend £11 and then chop the cable around though.

Id see your point if it was £20/30 for the sake of a £10 and an OEM fit I would prefer that. I have to pick up some parts on wednesday so i will order it.
Then ill get onto the relay and wire and might make use of Dans services

This arrived for me today:
Full CAS wire and plug for the switch including cable.
Just need to asses what the ignition live does

Get chopping and splicing
And ideally place the relay as close to the ignition barrel as possible, that way it's 'bell wire' from the switch to the relay rather than chunky gauge wire from the ignition to the relay/switch position.

No Dom not yet im afraid. Been too busy with the seats etc..
I am currently planning the interior V2.0 and this is part of it. Dash will be slightly modified to include this as well as an iPhone 4 mount for Siri!
