People who think traktor is just pressing play and sync are fools!

A song is never fully beatgridded by the Software, you have to move every songs beatgrid to be able to use the sync function, or even to affectively beat match.

This takes time to master and skill to do, but once you can do it, it takes seconds per track. But people who don't do it, it can fuck a set up in seconds also.

I've been using it for a few years, and I've only really hit the tip of the iceberg! But I can say I know one hell of alot about it, and easy is one thing it DEFINATELY isn't!

And the comment about clubs not letting you use traktor is bollocks! Some of the best DJ's in the world use traktor, would they not let them DJ? No, if they want the live performance with CDJ's and a mixer, that's simple, timing discs! Or with the new range of CDJ's, don't even need them! I've never ever heard of someone bein rejected from DJ'ing a club because they use traktor...most places prefer it, as it looks more professional nowadays!

Been DJ'ing for about 7years bought some CDJ1000's and a DJM600. These are long gone now, don't really DJ much unless at a party these days. Few of my pals are using the S4 with Traktor, amazing bit of kit, much prefer using some CDs with Traktor tho.

Here's my little "Studio" if I can call it that.

I do not agree with this. I downloaded traktor and its piss easy to do. I can make a flawless mix in it everytime and ive got about 5 hours in total on it, my mum could even do a mix in it!. Traktor is amateur at the end of the day and yeah they might let you in a club but if i seen someone using it id be laughing at them all night. Only thing its good for is looking at the wave form

As for controllers there just shit. Plugging it into your pc so you can use traktor on it, Why? obviously unless you dont dj much and want to mess about. Other than that i see no other reason when you can just click. Pretend dj more?

I also believe that cd decks are quite amateur i use them myself but i know the lads who are using vinyl are far far more professional than me.

you said click play at the right time and mess with knobs.
all the sync button does is match bpm, it doesnt beatmatch or select the correct part of each track or adjust your eq's volumes or faders.

meh. dj's are a bit like old people, stuck in a time warp and refuse to accept new technology.
vinyl purists slag off cd's, cd purists slag off controlers, im sure controllerists will slag off whatevers next.
