not broken anymore, was a faulty EGR valve not the Gearbox after all; £100 and sorted. Just driven the 1850 mile round trip to the Alps in it and it was great

my dad bought a 1 year old kuga titanium with everything for 19k last year, bang on your budget.
it's a lovely car to be in and drive and the diesel feels a lot more powerful than the book figure suggests.
i know it's a focus underneath but that's not bad thing, the focus is a fantastic car, as the car sales chart shows.
only thing i would say is the standard bridgestones cost m3 money to replace.

I like the mazda 6 2.2D S.
They are spacious, have a good boot size, well equiped and the diesel engines mazda use are said to be really good. 123bhp for the S model, 0-60 10.9 seconds and does 54mpg which is decent for a 2.2 and 1600kg car.

Hardly looks like a takeaway car here

Colin if you want a 6 my bro can probably get you a discount of a new one as he works for Mazda.
We had an Mazda 6 Estate 2.2 (177bhp) sport for a coupe of weeks and it was pretty good quite quick too!

I've paid 3 of the 6 loan repayments albeit she paid the deposit; so 'some' of it is mine.

You go and look at a brand new Skoda Octavia and a brand new Audi A4 and tell me they are the same level.
My B-I-L has a brand new Octavia VRS and its not bad but my A4 is much better. He even said this.

Mazda 6 is a good shout... Not biased atall. Honest.

2.2d Sport 185PS
Heated Half Leather
Dual Zone Climate
Cruise control
Bluetooth
BOSE Stereo
Tinted windows
Keyless Entry/Start
Automatic Bi-Xenons
Automatic wipers
Electric / folding mirrors
18s
All as standard... Plus stuff i've probably forgotten
Huge boot
Comfy seats
Smooth engine
My Ex used to love it, and massively preferred it to my previous Octavia vRS TDi, Passat TDi, Focus Hatch/Estate TDCis, Mondeo Hatch/Estate TDCis. She was a 5' something petite semi-dwarf type, dont think that makes much difference other than she was fine driving a fairly large car.
Had it 2 years so far, been brilliant. Only had 1 problem, self inflicted though, and covered under warranty luckily! Otherwise, been faultless. My Octavia was a massively unreliable POS, especially in comparison to this.
