Steve would take it very seriously too. He's a bit anal like that. If you give him a job to do, he'll do it to the best of his ability.
Like his day job, licking stamps. Most people would feel it's below them, but Steve embraces it and honours himself on being the best public sector stamp licker there has ever been.
You have to admire that about him.
