Update time:

First up was to give the rear end a little lift..

Started by Ditching the standard rear wiper and replaced with a much neater looking Fiat wiper arm.



Next up is something ive wanted for ages, German Rear lights!! I personally think they look more modern and fresh.





The badges on the boot were looking a little tired...




So off they came...



But with it being a genuine Gsi and mostly OEM on went some brand new badges!







Now with the back end looking pretty fresh, was time to turn my attention else where

The standard style side repeaters have been swapped for Astra MK4 Smoked versions.

Whilst waiting on my Depo headlights to turn up, I had collected a few engine bay goodies,so decided to bolt them on..

Firstly i turned my attention to the Inlet manifold, started rubbing it down for some paint... but after a little sanding, i thought it would look awesome polished..

Its getting there...



I dont want to bore you with the process and end-less sanding / polishing etc! here's the finished article



Now you might of noticed the polished C20XE oil cap and be thinking WTF??? Well you'd be right in thinking it doesnt fit the X16XE, well it does with a little modification and making a hybrid oil cap by merging the x16xe cap and c20xe item... enough chat here's some pics:





As you can also see i have a Carbon spark plug cover, got it with the car lucky enough, but its had a bit of clean up and a few coats of lacquer, Also added the following:
- Bailey header tank
- Astra Gsi Battery Bag
- Polished Strut Brace
- ABS Cover
- Standard Drilled Xbox with K&N pannel filter
- Stainless 4-2-1 exhaust Manifold.

To have one word replies like "stunning" to a project thread is great, gives me a real sense of achievement Thanks Fazza

It's almost there Kev, I need to do another update but got a few pics to sort. It passed the MOT thurs last week so just a few days till I get it out on the open road.

Update Time:

The rear arches needed re-attaching after the rear bumper was fitted, been meaning to do it for a while...

All sorted:


After changing my mind on the morretes, I ordered some Depos from Holmesgsi... Great seller!

Soon after they arrived i got busy fitting them...



With the car in good shape, it was time for the MOT, last time the car was on the road was Aug 2009 so i didnt know what to expect...

.... PASSED!! few little issues, but nothing major.

Its Now all ready for the road... so gave it a good wash and wax and here's the results...













After all my cleaning efforts the typical british weather showed its ugly face.... but just looking at the beading
