Something wrong with yamj then and not pointing to the correct location. You did specify films are on an internal HDD?

I have a Boxee, plays everything, handles 40gb blu-ray rips no probs.
If you can find one second hand at the right price theres not much that can beat it tbh.

no, in my_libary the file location for the videos should be along the lines of:
<nmtpath>file:///opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/SATA_DISK/Video/</nmtpath>
This assumes the videos are stored on the NMT's hard drive under 'Video' if its something different then alter it, delete your jukebox folder and rescan

according to the boxee forums, their users lean more towards popcorn hour.

Tbf..it's like anything..people on the internet who have it say its shit
For me, to stream anything and everything to its never let me down.
There are so many options out there though, took me ages to pick one.

From what Ive read the boxee seems to work very well and very quickly, alot more 'out of the box' than the popcorn hour. But I think the PCH is probably slightly more advanced and more trickier to customize.

My movie wall is a little too big, takes forever to get down to the bottom.
Any way of creating a search facility on it? Might have a play with it tonight. Would love to be able to search by genres, actors etc...

I've given up on the display you're using mate, wouldn't play anything, but if i press video or music on the remote it gives me another type of display which is good enough for me..
pisses me off when some of the series go into the film section though

Ive never used evervision (to advanced for my trusty A110) but you can use coloured buttons to help map a search or even use the numbers on your remote like a mobile phone to point to all films starting with that letter, i.e. press number 1 twice for B etc.... on older YAMJ skins such as Redefined etc

Give us a file path for your films and we can help set it up.

If you know what you wanna search for, you can press the letter straight away on the remote.
If like me you've got hundreds of videos, then yes top to bottom does take some time.
If Ive just added a video, I tend to use 'New' or 'New TV' as it'll only show what you've recently added.

Yeah, added new media yesterday since I got it Bart, saw the "New-Movies" appeared, pretty cool.
Would like to set the torrents up on it, to auto download tbh, but for some reason I can't access it on NMT apps? Any ideas off the top of your head Bart?

Actually just a quickie....
Is it possible to stick X amount of films under one folder?
I've got 20+ Bond films, 8 Harry Potter, 6 star wars etc etc. Just to make it a bit smaller that's all!

Whittie, when I had my A110 - at least a year ago, apps could only be used if you had a hard drive installed in the Popcorn.
And yes, there should be an option with YAMJ to group them.
EDIT: Again based off my A110 experience, usenet was limited to speeds that the CPU/RAM could handle and unpacking was very slow due to the CPU/RAM being very, very slow (as the video rendering was offloaded on to the graphics chip). However torrents are slow anyway so you'll probably be fine

Yeah, you need to create sets: http://code.google.com/p/moviejukebox/wiki/BoxedSets

This hasn't worked for 6-8 weeks, won't load my films / tv series anymore. No idea why, absolutely nothing has changed with the set up!
Any reasoning?

Media on a drive in the basement, cat6 connected to PCH box, using YAMJ with Eversion (iirc) skin.
Box loads fine, with no problems. Just doesn't load the media that it once did any longer.

So does it play the media if you just go through the network rather than through YAMJ? Can you try a different type of network share?

Havn't tried, I don't know why but PCH easily seems to confuse me! Bart ended setting it up last time with remote access
What would have corrupted it? A new lot of firmware was released not so long back I think, but my box can't download it when I go to update... It is connected to web though, i've tested it.

you can manually update downloading via usb if you like.
What happens when you try to load it, do you get an error message?
Have you changed any usernames / passwords on the NAS?
Have you tried browsing via PCH network browser to the NAS?
