England need to generate some passion and interest back into its football, you can do that by either winning things or getting someone in the job that the people and possibly more importantly the media like.

Theres already negativity around Hodgson and the media will thrive off that to pick on everything they can, and before we know it was have the cycle of defeat which will ultimately lead to him being sacked again and us being back to square one.

Granted no guarantees with Redknapp but at least with him you have the media on your side, and the possibility of good attacking football

I don't really care all that much. Nobody should be surprised by the FA by now surely.

In fairness, I think he'd do a decent job, but everyone wants Harry, surely the FA can't get this wrong?

Not in England granted, but much more than Harry has ever won.

Like you, im not that arsed who gets it as I stopped following England a few years ago (always want them to do well but not bothered if they dont) when it all went to shit and the players stopped giving a shit, I just think Roy would be a decent bet.

Whoever takes the job it is a poisoned chalice, death by newspaper sports editors and people believing the hype that England as a team are as good as Spain, Brazil, Argentina, Germany etc. Make no wonder we dont have a line outside FA HQ of folk wanting to take the job.

Geezer on Sky Sports News this morning said that Woy got Switzerland as high as 3rd in the FIFA rankings. As long as I didn't mis hear that and its true, thats pretty impressive.

No and no. Weather ruined any chance I had for a respectable time. It was horrendous. Rain and strong winds all day. I'm just glad I finished it tbh. Hit a wall just after half way and nearly quit.
