Finally she is back on the road, which gave me the chance to get her up on a ramp and work on the exhaust.

I wasn't happy with where is sat:

So had it taken off and some pipe trimmed before having it moved further up and straightened

Picked up the painted scuttle panel today as well

The start of todays jobs, strip out the old Corsa Sport seats and cut off the subframes to weld on to the RX8 Seats

Whilst the seats were out and being worked on, the Show Cage started to come together

The new RX8 Seats

Another job on the list, detail the dash and replace the gear gator.

The seats going back in

Stocking up for the forth coming show season and giving her a quick wash & polish to finish off the day

Ready for MFN tomorrow, then next week shes off in the bodyshop for the new semi-smooth kit to go on hopefully

Thanks folks

Basically it was a case of levelling off the subframes on the RX8 Seats to have the Corsa subframes welded to them. Took a few hours work, grinder & welder

eBay Ricky, the whole car is practically built from eBay, CS ads & Facebook group ads

Obviously not a true enthusiast I'm not a fan of colour coding or flocking on the dash, which a lot of people do, so I try and keep the dash in orginal OE condition. So its cleaned, died with a back to black product for plastics, then polished with a dash shine, even go as far as getting the ear bud cleaners out to get around the switches & vents

Before taking her to MFN, got out the first Wax treatment for the year with a bit of Autoglym HD Wax

Even the wench like to join in

End result, this is after various other products as well on the glass, wheels, tyres, vinyl and plastic trims.

The bonnet has been useful for the getting the car a bit of attention at shows, but that's about it. Problem it attracts every Tom, Dick & Harry with a camera phone because it looks 'cool'. There's a new bonnet going on with the smooth bumpers hopefully which will then attract the true enthusiasts to it and the car itself will be more of a feature than the bonnet
