Had both phases of 172, Phase 1 was mint and faultless, Phase 2 was a total dog and problematic.

Edit - Be better buying an early EP3.

I did consider an EP3 but they are about £1000 more and insurance is quite a bit more too.

end of the day its only wanted as a car to go to and from work and what i have currently is fine for the job so I'm trying to justify spending the money on a clio at best

The thing that always put me off the EP3 in comparison is size. The Clio's charm lies in its a genuinely small car.

Im now on Autotrader, ffs i want another one

So do I buy now or wait till march next year?

LY on turini's is where it's at. I wanted racing blue when I got mine but they were all more expensive than my budget so got my second choice, Black Gold.

Renault must have used a different method to paint these than other cars as the paint always looks so good. No matter the colour
