my corsa 1.2 8v

depressing, shit, slow , used so much fuel for something so gutless. Was actually glad when I wrote it off.

None actually.

1.0 B was slow but kept my insurance cheap that first year.
1.2 C was bought brand new and I loved the smell of the half leather. Still slow but looked nice at least. Wrote that off
MK5 Golf - still got it. Has its niggles (like the drivers door currently not unlocking remotely) but the most powerful/most comfy/best built of the three so far.

Mine was a Peugeot 106 1.1 Aztec, Sunroof leaked like a seive, stunk inside, cig burns in the seats, odd sized wheels, constank oil leak on the engine and made more strange noises than anything! Was glad the day it went to the scrapyard!

Only reason being that I crashed in it lol, and that it drank fuel like a bitch.

Peugeot 806 (Family car). Hasn't worked properly since we got it 2 years ago. Been lying up for 4 months now cause Donnelly & Taggart want €750 to fix it. Parents spent €2k on it in the last year before it was laid up.

Also, slow, shit on fuel, uncomfortable as sitting on a bee, dark grey interior.

Realistically, how bad are they on fuel??

My mate just got 1, and tbh, it feels like a damn good car. Very well spec'd and seems to drive pretty good. Not that quick but does pick up around 4k rpm (guessing thats the VVTI).

Ive heard of them being bad on fuel and warned him about this. But what sort of figures will he be looking at?? Most, if not all of his driving is town.
