Disagree, I think in a manual with a good start (which is not hard in these cars) you could get mid 6's
My auto on the other hand I think Id be lucky to see mid 7's
The 0-100 times are a bit poor however.
I would think Nics 30-100 in gear is pretty impressive being a torque monster.
i disagree too, arent fast, 0-60 under 7 seconds and 155mph top speed isnt fast? maybe not that quick compared to a M3 but hardly a slow car

Doesn't really feel fast, as said only driven an auto. My tt, golf, cupra and civic all feel way faster than a 330i auto... Dunno if youv driven one but they aren't a performance car, they're a cruiser and a nice one at that

They dont feel as quick because they are a big car but they do shift well, Ive driven an auto and a couple of manuals and own a manual 330.
Civics are a tiny bit slower and I dont know about any of the others.

The autos I've drove don't seem fast at all but I can see how a manual could be.
Nic how should I know? If I knew I wouldn't of asked

Love 330d's my mates got a ex police estate, suprised me how well they go.
I remember the chaps who did the Gumball in one, that wasn't too shy either 300bhp+ and 500ft-lb+ iirc

I missed this vid, was on my way home one night driving the vxr corsa, got to bypass and was behind one of these, can't remember which model but had the diesel engine in it! I couldn't overtake it lol, it certainly made me think fuck me that goes for a diesel to be fair!

They do pull really really well although it is a 3litre diesel, 204bhp 300lb/ft standard. Fair quick barge with a remap. Still got de cat and exhaust to do on it yet.

Yeah, it was def a 330d but not sure what series, 300lb/ft ain't bad out the box either! 2 of the neighbours in the street have both just bought 330d, one is a 530 I think the other a 730, the 730's got a fridge in the centre console and almost every extra and it's an 03, he says that flies and that looks a big bus to be fair!

A 335d is an absolute beast with a remap. Its on my list of cars to replace this one with, although they're bloody expensive. It's a decent daily driver, quicker than a lot of petrol hatches and can tow without any effort.

Figures figures figures, get in a mapped 330d in the real world!
Mate has a mapped one, de-limited, egr removed, swirl flaps gone, 3" turbo back, cheap eBay cooler and a quaiffe.
Sat planted to the arse on a CSL, and I mean literally in the boot.
These things are immense on the road you need a diff Barnes it's transformed my mates, poly front arm donuts spas coilies and h&r roll bars.

Chris's done 285 horse 480 off ft/lb torque too. Exhaust makes all the difference pull wise.

Was looking at 335d last night, I didn't realise they are only 3.0 litres?? Or is it just some of them? I hate when BMW do that with the numbers. They are very tempting, can pick up an msport with 30000 for not too much at all.
My uncles is mapped an its bloody quick, your head is planted in the head rest all through second and third.
Would have to be white with red leather for me though if I'm spending that much on a car it has to be exactly what I want.

get worse with the new models
the e90/92 are 3.0 litres - 330i/d is 3.0 litre with the derv having a turbo. the 335i/d are both 3.0 litre and both twin turbo
On the new models they now have 328i and 528i wihich is actually a 4pot turbo engine with 242BHP

Yeah the diff itself was a grand. Massive outlay but the cars serious fun now with it in just a lot more controllable instead of being very unpredictable on the open diff. Such cool cars.
