I've not got the last one so don't care. I also agree technology should move quicker. There's no chance they've developed that in the past 6 months though, they've known all about, and probably had in production, this new one. Then don't get me started on the mini. Jobs obviously had at least as much clout as was made out, going downhill now.

As you know we agree regarding the Mini.
As for them having a clearly thought out business plan, well, yes, of course... But if the "cost" for the consumer is a faster developing technology, I hardly see that as an issue.

Or why not ram everything we know about technology into the one model and have a new one released every year afterwards instead of phasing it out over more products.
They wont make as much money thats why they wont. Same applies to all brands tbh.

actually if $399 for ipad 2 is £329 in the uk could $329 end up £250 or is it more likely to be £275-300?

If it had a retina display I would sell my 3rd Gen iPad for one, using a 2 then going to a 3 is like 3GS to 4 seems fine until see side by side.
My 3 going to be worth fuck all now 6month old!

Not retina no, same res as iPad 2 but 7.9" instead of 9.7" I think my iPad is too big do was quite looking forward to this, bit disappointed its not retina, wait for iPad mini 2 in 6months time!
Anyone want an iPad 3?!
