Oh mine is later 
Tryed mine, looked good until I turned it over by hand!
Top notches were spot on and so was the bottom


So they were spot on and I put the belt on, the done the tensioner and tightened the nut. Then I noticed the crank pulley had moved away from the notch so Tryed to turn it over by hand and then this happened.

The belt kept jumping when I was turning it by hand.
Gave up lol Gonna get someone to do it for me

My mate is on about having another go at the weekend to see if we can get the inlet cam lined up with the cam cover marker but im in 2 minds whether to leave it as it is because a few on here and on mig says it looks fine but 1 or 2 say its 1 tooth out and that both cams should be equally aligned

Its perfect. If it was a tooth out it be very obvious as it would look as if it was a mile away. Have you turned it over by hand?

Yeah been turned over by hand well socket and ratchet on the large nut through the crank pully.

Has anyone heard of haveing a certain amount belt teeth between the cams when doing the timing? It was mentioned on a Opel Manta forum.

Just been up the garage and was lineing a ruler up from the rocker cover marker down to the inlet cam's marker and its only a fanny hairs away
