Ronaldo seems a bit of a COD type player, run and gun, blasting shots off everywhere, all about athleticism and generally a bit of a poser. Messi seems more tactical and technical, so more of a Battlefield player.

They might play nice football but that doesnt mean they can should be able to get away with crimes against design.

Anyway, I'm off to watch Malaga v Zaragoza next year. Malaga are ripping up the CL this year so i shall report on the standard of La Liga and come back with a dossier of evidence which should put this argument to bed.

I try and do one La Liga game a season. Alright I watch the best/better teams when I do but I think La Liga is slightly stronger at the moment, the likes of Malaga (won CL group after 5 games), Atletico (Europa Holders), Athletic (Europa Finalists), Sevilla (2x Europa winners in the 00's) are the 3rd/4th/5th/6th best sides in La Liga behind Barca & Real, and when you compare their European achievements compared to Arsenal/Spurs/ManC/Liverpool etc over the last 5/6 years there's only one winner.

As for Messi, stop arguing about it and just watch him with envy, lets face it, we're not likely to see another player like him in our lives. Add to that Ronaldo, Xavi, Iniesta, Falcao etc and we're lucky to be watching so many of the best players all in our time!

Hopefully Argentina win the World Cup in 2014 and put the arguement to bed as then Messi will have won it all!
