The cooling system used on the V8 engine is a pressure relief by-pass type system which allows coolant to circulate
around the cylinder block and the heater circuit when the thermostat is closed. With coolant not passing through the
radiator, this promotes faster heater warm-up which in turn improves passenger comfort.

switch you climate control to manual and make sure the aircon is off as most cars with climate control keep the air con on which makes warm up slow. sounds mad but even when temp is set to 24degress on auto the air con comes on to dehumidefi the car.

Aircon won't be on if it's under 3 or 4 degrees, even if the wee symbol is there.

My car heats up realy quick. Its blowing warm with in a mile or 2.

Also if I leave the climate on auto it keeps the fan speed low untill its warmed up then speeds up.

Drying the air has no relevance to how quick it warms up and as John said it wont be on below about 4 degrees or so.
