The mk2 Leon cupras run the same engine and turbo set up as the new shape S3 and edition 30 golfs so a simple map can see 300bhp. To run 360+bhp you'll need supporting mods.

That's crazy isn't it Eck. Can you imagine how naughty it is. Must just ruin tires and do little else.
I bet the traction control gets a bit confused.

The Leon pictured has a trick diff in it and he'll keep it in if the price is right. He said it is surprisingly quick off the mark. There's a view vids of it on the 1/4 mile which are impressive.

How the hell do they look "chav" There both pretty much standard body wise.
Just because they're standard doesn't mean they don't look 'boy racer'. Same as Astra VXR, Focus RS etc.
I'm defo getting old.

I doubt it, they will loose about the same amount. Mk1 Leon Cupra R's were still worth more than half their cost after 5/6 years

Out of the two, the Leon, cheaper, more powerful and equally as good looking imo, a VW does not have the badge appeal/snobbery to be worth paying over the odds for.

That golf is on ebay right now. It says it has 210bhp, unless they've just not mentioned it has anything done to engine.

Just something a bit different I think. The Leon I have is still a great car and theres nothing wrong with it but I have the chance of something newer so just looking at the options.

Go for the Leon those golfs are everywhere now, plus as mentioned VW dont really have extra badge snobbery worth paying any extra for like an audi for example, and if I'm correct the leon has an FSi engine which is an uprated version smoothing out previous problems of the TFSi as fitted in the golf ? which I'm guessing is what you mean about the same setup as an S3 ?

Out of the two I'd say Golf..
But I'd be looking at R32's, specifically a blue one with DSG/Nav and proper seats

The R32s ain't all that tbh. All noise and that's about it lol. Rather the edition 30 over the R32.

Just something about them! Dunno what it is. Also easily solved with a SC or turbo conversion aye

Not quite there.
The original 2.0T engine was the TFSi, which has been replaced by the TSi, although people think its similar I have been told its very different
