I recently made an order with The Protein Works, can't recommend their whey enough. The Cherry Bakewell flavour is amazing, one of the, if not the nicest protein shake i've tried. Not tried it yet but also got a Lemon Shortcake flavour which is meant to taste just like the Mr Kipling slices

Cheap too, you can get 1kg for 17.99 and also if you sign up with the code JB4263 you'll get a free 250g bag of whey allowing you to try two different flavours.

A good post work out drink is chocolate milk because it has the right balance of carbs and protein, that came from a very knowledgable trainer who facilitated the gp referral course I did a bit ago. Sadly I cant drink milk! In regards to protein I think some people focus far too much on it, if you are trying to build then id put more emphasis on getting a surplus of calories in as personally thats what has always held me back from growing.

I read in a nutrition article of a cycling magazine that those Frijj milkshakes are good for recovery, granted this is for cycling not gym work.

Chocolate milk and Frijj should be nowhere near your body at any time never mind post-workout if you are talking about knuckling down to health and fitness properly.

Both are full of shit.

The majority of supplements are the same. Nutrients should come from earth grown, organic sources wherever possible.

By the way I don't practice what I preach, as I'm a chubby bastard, but the theory behind all the stuff I've read is sound.

I can tell with the idiolistic view. Im not disagreeing that that isnt the best as it clearly is but the reality is try consuming 3000/4000+ calories a day from fresh organic sourrces, near impossible!

why was it crap? which one did you go for considering there is about 10 dif types of protein on the site, some mixing better then others? did you mix it properly in a shaker or in a glass? Unsure what you mean by "get what you pay for" as you just have to look at all the reviews to see everyone says they are good.

Its not the fact of Joining a gym and knowing stuff its all about the research and the fact that a number of people are using it and have visible gains and its recomended by alot of people tells you its good.

Its all personal choice and different body types respond better to different protein my choice is different to yours but im lucky enough to have a friend who actually has his own suppliment store and knows what he is talking about and can keep me in the right direction.
