As you may have seen earlier in the thread the exhaust wasn't the cleanest with a decat and I gave it a good old scrub with some Autosol. Well with Trax coming up I decided to really get on top with the cleaning and teamed up with some more Autosol and an old toothbrush.

I had this to tackle with...

This was the midway point before I got shouted for some burgers

and with one tailpipe done I was greeted with a nice reflection and something that looks brand new

and both tailpipes cleaned

After unfortunately finding out whilst fitting the cup spoiler that the brake light didn't work I got onto the resident Renault dealership over on ClioSport and got myself a new one ordered. After getting myself a TX20 bit from Halfords I decided to crack on and get it sorted this afternoon.

Don't feel like I'm one of those people who knowingly drives around with brake lights out now

Cup spoiler really finishes off these cars, All sports should have them.

Good job on the exhaust, Lots of work for something so small but makes a huge differance.

Yeah I agree, annoying having a standard spoiler on them. Thanks mate, was a pain to get sorted but now it's done it's something easy to keep on top of.

You off to Trax?

Funnely enough, I have just been looking at some C5 for a few wheels.

Will like to see how your C4 turns out as I could be tempted to try some

I reviewed this in my thread.
Great stuff on smooth plastics.
Not so great on corsa arches.

Cadwell open pit lane on the 2nd October is booked

After being in Kyles Impreza at Silverstone I did kind of wish I had taken the Clio on track. He is also booking Cadwell so it will be a fun track day I'm sure

Cadwell yes!!!

What power is the Impreza Kyle? When I did Cadwell in my 182 my mate had Impreza WRX with PPP. Around 260bhp?? Clio was pretty much even all way with it. Although his impreza was on budget tyres. And Clio spanked my other mates Leon Cupra @230bhp.

You'll love it both of you!! I suggest going down the night before and staying over as its a very long drive. I stayed over got up at half 7 and was absolutely knackered after. Would dread to think what id have been like if we had got up at 4 and drove down like we were going to!

270bhp is about right for a WRX PPP. Mine is 320-330ish I believe. (whatever 285bhp ATW works out as)

I'm certain a Clio with a semi competent driver will fly around me with ease, I'm slow as hell on track but hoping to improve

It's only 70miles away, up at 4am?

Ah I suppose yours will be a lot quicker then. Plus I had epic tyres and Si doesn't

It was 98 miles for me, just over 2 hours, wanted to be there early as poss. Think it was a half 7 sign on. So was a 5 am start, hence why I said 4 incase was busy. But we stayed in a little lodge thing about 2 mile away.

Proper loved Cadwell though! Wish I had a fun car I'd be coming with you!

Come along anyway, there are only a couple of places available for that day now.

Anyway all 4 tyres are getting changed before it goes on track anyway

4 x Continental Contact Sport 3's ordered for Cadwell next weekend. Hopefully get to see how a high end tyre performs over previous ones I've had before.

I put Contis on mine after the Exalto's gave up the ghost.

They are great tyres with a nice progressive slide. Shame though as even though the Exalto's were on the limit they were still better than new Conti's fucking amazing they were.
