So you smashed the sump when it was higher off the ground?
Then you knew it was lower after putting smaller wheels on?
Then you decided to drive it?
Well done einstein. Darwin award for you coming soon.

I feel your pain, my 1st MK4 Golf i smashed the sump in my own street twice in a week.
I live in a Culdesac and usually i park in the drive, but my mum was home first so i went down to the bottom to turn and come back up and a crater had appeared since the last time i had been down that end, by the time i noticed it was too late.
Second time was around 4 days later, a pothole at the top end of my street, has been filled maybe 5/6 times but keeps sinking, never any trouble.
My next door neighbour wasnt in so i went into the street on the opposite side from normal to get an easier swing at my drive and the way i hit the sunk/repaired hole i burst my less than a week old sump.
Sump was ordered and the car was raised.
