1st half over (40 minutes a half, What???? :facepalm
1-1
feel the games being spoilt by the weather the balls holding up alot in the pitch becuase of the waterlogged pitch, so feel for both teams, huddlestone playing really well for Spurs, i'm very impressed by him if Spurs where to sell him i would definatly do everything i could to sign him. Not really been that over impressed by our (sunderland) new signings so far, nothing to shout out about with any of them so far but still early days.

Ridiculous that they're playing in it. Its just risking injury. Been a couple of tackles flying in too, especially from Walker.

There's another game on the same pitch after too, its gonna be a mess by then

Huddlestone playing well? Are you saying that because he set up your (sunderlands) goal?

Amazing that a 95,000 stadium is full watching Lfc so far from home.

Looks like Vertonghen is getting taken out of my FF team. Looks like knee ligaments or ankle damage (they're not actually showing anything of his treatment)

Seems okay by all accounts.... Pitch is shocking, though, after all that rain.

Bayern V Barcelona on later.

Micky Quinn reckons he's sulking apparently

Sunderland have looked very good tbf. Well worked corner, looked like they had a player holding 2 spurs players at bay and Brown snuck around to get a pretty free header

The intense fitness sessions from Paolo look like they've got them up to speed already.

Wonder how long it'll be before the papers decide to bitch about him again.

Apart from the mistake he made leading to our goal, I thought he played very well for them, I would take him in our (sunderland) squad any day

Lets just hope we don't run out of steam before end of season. Having said that though very impressed with di canio and his signings so far (early days I know) hopefully get 2 full backs in.

A competitive game but St Johnstone are less than 10 mins from beating Rosenborg

Hibs being trounced 9 nil on aggregate off Malmo

If ever there was a night which summed up Scottish football it is this one.

That would be a hell of a result for St Johnstone. There's conference teams bigger than them and thats not even trolling. Be ace for their dedicated supporters.

It's a match fitness exercise, the score is completely immaterial.

Still confidence boosting. Obviously need fitness but it's nice to get solid performances in also. We've had a few players looking really good, Zaha for one which is really promising.

Only saw bits of the game, but from what I saw Urawa looked a half decent side!
