Need a belt line kit to cover the chrome line all the way around. Can get them on eBay like but I can't tell what quality they are man. If I measure it all up can you make it for me?

the belt line kits need trimming anyway. do it the exact size and it'll be a PIA to fit. better with excess then trimming round

Havnt updated this in ages now
done a few nice little bits and bobs

Mate of mine got hold of a GRS intercooler for dirty cheap for me from someone breaking there mini so i snapped that up and bought myself a kavs 16% pulley kit

got some spare time on a weekend so set about fitting it in work

didnt take pictures of the kit but it includes a shorter belt, colder running spark plugs, and a pully with adapter

anywas didnt get pictures during fitting either as it was more of a fight than i was told it would be to get the old pulley off :/

before

after

Pulley

set about giving her a service aswell
with a better set of plugs (still cold rated)

New heavyer Gearbox oil to remove the groaning noise that you get with the LSD gearbox when turning and accelerating

did an oil filter at the same time
also built myself one of them there hybrid twin intake airbox's
same as steves was really but i couldnt be arsed with all that fiberglassing buisness. so was made the same as everyone else's
its basicly a cheap version of the dave f airbox that are massivley overpriced

no pictures of that as i managed to put a drill bit straight threw my finger during making it haha
pub numbers going off what everyone else that has done these mods its somewhere around 220bhp ish
not arsed about numbers really

all i know is it pulls a hell of alot better, alot smoother to drive and the power feels alot more "smooth" in all gears

Should go well now! I wish I'd have tried mine out with a better intercooler and changed to a 17% pulley instead of the 15% I got.

How come you've gone for the 16% and not 17%?

It'll probably be running more like 200bhp max now, still 30bhp more than standard! Usually need a fast road cam, injectors, exhaust and a remap to get 220+

Went for a 16% as it's the best of both worlds. Spoken to a few chaps about it and they say 17's are abit overkill for daily road use. And demolish fuel economy (not that It's any good anyway)
I will upgrade to a 17 eventually when I change cam, injectors and go for water/meth

It does go really well. As I said I'm not bothered about numbers. That's just what seems to pop up. I'll take your word for it though as I havnt really looked into it that much
Love the way it drives and performs now. Very happy with it
Iits a nice drive still but the power is there when ever I want a nice blast
I'll do a acceleration video sometime with my gopro

Yeah, mine was just as quick as my R32 0-60, and the intercoolers supposed to make it pull a bit better. If I decide to get rid of the R32 then I'd definitely be looking at another Mini and doing it properly this time!

I do love the car. Deffinatley don't have any regrets from swoping from the corsa to this. Yer I did love my corsa but my god this is luxury in comparison.
And it handles as well as it pulls

I'll be leaving it at this power for now. Getting a manifold, sports cat, exhaust, coilovers and wheels first.
Finish off some interior bits then get started on power again

I'm confused here. Are you telling me that when you replaced your intercooler for a standard intercooler it didn't pull as hard?
