In fairness to United, they've only one once in a couple of years at Anfield so it's not hugely surprising if they lose. The manner in which they are so is a worry for them though.

Today proves how much we need a creative midfielder, something clearly going on with Kagawa but if he isn't injured he should be playing.

Cleverley today proved he is a squad player at best, I really like him as a footballer but he hasn't got it in the big games

Thought Welbeck played ok again, we needed Hernandez earlier but we never looked like winning that.

Fully deserved by Liverpool really, they look a decent side this year.

Desperately need a couple of signings, so annoyed we didn't sign Wanyama, we need someone like that to control the game and another creative talent alongside him.

City have got that spot on with Yaya Toure and David Silva, makes me sick

Liverpool v United goes several ways.

We either play really bad and let the occasion get to us or we get a good result. I don't think we played particularly badly, but we had just as many chances as Liverpool and could have had equalised several times.

I'm not sure Rooney would have made a difference, but I would have had Valencia and Hernandez on from the start.
