tbf it wasnt dubious, he was the head of their miltant wing. however, this was after attemoting to drum up political support from countries such as our own, who gave him little to no assistance.
i actually think its disgraceful that any whoite person, especially a Brit (as complicit as we were in aprtheid) could be so disrespectful as to call such a great man a mangy terrorist :\

Shouldn't have these 2 classed as similar, especially after recent public revelations.

different ideologies, perhaps, but the same intentions: harm innocent people to enact a change that benefits themselves.

Just shows if your gonna do anything bad in your life, just make sure you do it early on and do something good after.

I'd say that the original IRA were doing quite similar to Mandela though? It was for the better of the people?

debateable, as the majority of people in NI dont want to be liberated but having thoiught on it some, perhaps it was not quite right to lump them in with al qaeda etc

Unfortunately is not true
The mistakes my party made in the past with respect to relations with the ANC and sanctions on South Africa make it all the more important to listen now. The fact that there is so much to celebrate in the new South Africa is not in spite of Mandela and the ANC, it is because of them - and we Conservatives should say so clearly today.

Only an ignorant neanderthal would attempt to highlight the fact he used what some people would term 'dubious' actions in his earlier years.
This isn't a tracksuit wearing NED latching on to an idealism or a Pakistani guy reading about making bombs to blow himself up on the Internet. It's an intelligent leader of men who had 27 years of his life taken away from him that never felt 1 iota of; anger, mallice or vengefullness toward those people. Which goes against every single natural human reaction we've come to know.
I find that quite incredible personally.

'Dubious involvement' that made me L O L
He was one of the LEADING members of the ANC which later became militarised and KILLED over 5,000 INNOCENT civilians. I can understand trying to make a point that blacks and whites should be equal after all we're all made the same way and the only difference is our skin colour but killing 5,000 people + whatever opposition 'needed' to be killed in order for his party to make their point, that's not just murder its genocide.
27 years wasn't enough he should have died behind bars.
I bet when Gerry Anderson dies, the people that have sympathy for Nelson, will cheer.
