My missus fucked off with her sisters leaving me with the kids for 1.5hrs; just told her I'm off to the pub for the same amount of time by myself

Not Into NYE at all. Unsure on the hype of the date changing and as said, the peer pressure and utter overcharging/busy-ness of it is a big dampner. Usually go to a house party with a couple of mates and just hang out.

This year just a take out with the folks and might watch a film have a wank or go to bed.

Shall be up early tomorrow And won't be going on fb to read "I'm so hungover" and other interesting posts.

We're out my parents' house. Just got my galaxy tab xmas present and he bought a sonic olympic game for the wii so thats our evening sorted.

Sod going out in the cold wet weather, fighting to get a drink and possibly get stabbed.

Apart from some places charging to get in, the prices of the booze up here is still the same.

So it would seem living in Scotland is cheaper after all.

P.S, the place im going to charges £5 a ticket. For that you get limited numbers so you aren't touching elbows with everyone, food, a band, etc.

Small price to pay when you look at it on the whole.

If places didn't charge to get in, then it would cause alot of hassle, and im sure most wouldn't like to turn up somewhere to be told there's no more allowed in.

Around here its tickets only, or you aint getting in (for the places that are charging). Most know this and its not hard to work out if you ain't got a ticket, you ain't getting in, so won't bother turning up. Simple really and quite effective.
