Personally, I don't buy into the excuse they've come up with.
I imagine it is stressful doing long hours to clear a backlog of orders, but you can not take your stress out on the customer.
Luckily, I don't need to work serving the general public nowadays, but I used to and whilst some were rude, you simply do not let it affect you. You go away and sort ypur shit out, you don't act cunty back go them as you'll tnen be fighting a losing battle.

Yeah, even the email says they were despatched in one parcel.
