I've got wooden floors in every room downstairs which seems to make a difference compared to other dog owners houses I've been in.

You'd think so but its really hard to train instinct out of an animal!

Dogs do smell but can't remember the last time I walked out of someone's house stinking of dog.

I also know you get used to the smell in your own house but I'd get your mum a new hoover for mothers day John.

Its not so bad in winter but she has 3 huskies that sweat in summer.. You go in and stroke/play with them and then smell of them..

Its not just my mams house, near every house i go in (telephone engineer so a lot) who have dogs i can smell them on me..

That will be rotten yes. Dogs do stink as well, but there's no reason to come out stinking of one from an otherwise clean house.

I would never have wooden floors if I had a dog, every time they move round you can hear their nails touching the floor. Does my head in!

What a lot of shit you talk about huskies chloe.

They are the same as every other dog, which is that they are all individual.

They stink just as much as any other dog does or doesn't. The fact they are kept in bare sheds in the back garden suggests that they will be on the side of stinking.

If I had to get a dog for the house it would have to be able to fit in the washing machine.

dogs choose not to sleep in the kennels, but they are there if they want to go and lay on some dry soft straw, the doors now have pop holes in them and the doors shut to keep them dry

taken from the breed club site

The Good Points

Friendly with people of all ages.
An honest dog- his body language and voice can be taken at face value- he says what he means.
He has no guarding instinct and will greet and kiss an intruder the same as any other visitor.
Gregarious- he likes company.
Youthful in outlook, he often reaches 14 years of age, sometimes 16 or more.
Robust athletic constitution.
Good travellers, new sights and sounds do not upset them.
Intelligent and mischievous.
Easygoing and forgiving.
Clean, little or no doggy smell.
Straightforward to groom.
Quiet. They do not often bark, but they do howl like a wolf- often just for the joy of it. This may be a disadvantage in some neighbourhoods.
They do not require as much food for their size as many other breeds.
Not fussy eaters (but see minus point 13).
Get on well with other well adjusted canines. However they will take up a challenge if offered.
NOTE: The above assumes a normal puppyhood and socialisation

You've managed to find a website, on the internet, that says what you want about huskies

I could find the generic spiel about any breed, and that sounds almost the same as they will all say anyway.

Same as your rubbish about only sending it to a good home. I just don't believe it, the guy I bought my dog from gave me all that chat, while not actually asking anything that would have helped him make a conclusion, he based it on face value, which luckily was correct. I imagine most people going to buy a lovely wee puppy are full of the joys and how they won't mind looking after it and it ruining their house.

The reality is a different matter.
