It's similar to when he signed certain players that turned out to be flops, he didn't get everything right all the time. No one does

I was more meaning whether he's not happy Moyes hasn't been given more time?

This is the best and worst news ever.

Alex ferguson will be feeling both smug and stupid.

What can you do though apart from release a statement saying he's been sacked which is what they have done this morning? It didn't sound like he had been sacked last night so they couldn't of done it then

Not sure its been handled badly.

As said - what do you expect. I am sure as soon as the decision was actually made that he was gone it was put in motion, thus why the news suddenly went from roumers of people not being happy to the sacking last night

Until the sacking everyone is always going to say they are supportive - thats business.

Lets be honest, he was always going to be a fall guy. No manager would want to follow ferguson, it was the worst job in football. The next man in has got a far better job.

Problem Moyes had was, despite being aware that were the case, it's an impossible job to turn down when you're at a club like Everton for over 10 years.

I don't think we'll see United challenging now for some time. They clearly won't invest as much as they need to and everyone else around about them are progressing whilst they stagnate.

That would of happened with Moyes in charge so we've nothing to lose by getting rid of him.

This is spot on

20 odd years of stability thrown down the swanny by 1 knee-jerk panic move.

Although it's not entirely relevant, his record is much better than Fergie's after the same stage of their United management career.

I bet ferguson is in kicking boots at some of the cunts telling them they had better perform for Giggs.

This is part of the problem people think because he's Scottish and SAF picked him he'll be just like Fergie if you give him time. You can't just keep going down the stability line regardless of performances and results. I really hope the next manager is here for a few years but the reason for staying will be on merit rather than some misguided loyalty that eventually one day many years from now we hope he'll come good

Giggs will just threaten to shag their wives if they don't knuckle down

Rumours that RVP put in a verbal transfer request last night direct to Glazers, which might have had an impact on Moyes situation?

Looks nailed on to be van gaal, I hear Rvp loves him. Only problem or maybe not so, is that he won't stand for Rooneys antics.

The story about him walking in at half time at one of his previous clubs dropping his pants and said am I excited by that performance, made me chuckle

So from Fergie choosing the successor to RvP choosing the successor?
