A lot of the players that played last night obviously just aren't good enough. Was surprised to see Anderson playing the fat shit. We don't have the depth in the squad any more to be putting out a 2nd string team and still win

I agree. However, A United team of kids that featured Rooney, Ronaldo, Brown, Fletcher amongst others was beaten by Southend United in the League Cup. These are the same players that have won the CL.
The team last night had aside from Evan an inexperienced back 4 and an 18 year old making his debut on the wing.
In conclusion, our kids aren't very good and we have defensive issues!
