There's a few of us planning on taking a trip down to Afan and BikePark Wales later in the year, heard good things about both.

Well i have had a right month of it.
So snapped rear mech hanger, ordered 2 new ones from Canyon for £38. Next ride snapped the KMC chain. Fit new cassette and chain and ride after that snapped the new quick link.
Got sick of having puntures almost every other ride since end of september so have now gone tubeless with some High Roller 2's and Stans, which I done before Christmas.
Had a small off and head butted a tree end of November so had to buy a new helmet so got a Specialized Tactic 2.
So ridden about 24 in last month all due to mechanicals and spent a small fortune.
Hopefully the rest of the year goes better.

There isn't a great deal up here that would warrant a dh bike sadly or I'd maybe be interested in one.

Got myself a focus raven 5 as an xc bike, going to do some xc raced this year, did one last year but was hard work on an enduro bike.
Same as most of you other been a bit lame with the bike recently but had two bad falls on the road bike which put me off riding that over winter.

Any of you following Steve Abrahams? ... You should be - inspirational! Few times now I've nearly bottled a ride then thought of this poor fucker and put my overshoes on ....

Yes mate really good been 3 times now. a few trails were shut due to trees down and high winds. What bike are you taking if it isnt a full suss rent one there as its pretty gnarly in places there and a short travel ht would hurt alot.

tbh im thinking of going to a hardtail, a lot of the people i go out with ride them anywhere/down anything and they seem easier/cheaper to maintain.

Orange alpine. We've booked the uplift service, only there for one day tho.

ideal bike for it I took a downhill rig last time I went and it made the blacks so much easier to ride the new black trail 50 shades of black might be open when you go

I'm thinking the opposite at the moment as most of my mates seem to leave me for dead on any of the more technical downhill sections of the trails we ride. That said I've never owned a full sus so don't know how they are to live with.
Currently have a Trek Superfly 6 but really fancy a Canyon Spectral AL 8.0 or a Trek Fuel Ex 8 when funds allow.
