It had lower than average but higher than most. 190k. Was a low owner car and would have put a lot of sub 100k milers to shame.
25 years old, 190k miles, and the only cost work it needed for an mot was a rear brake pipe.
Mileage aside, I had very few enquiries, even when listing it without the mileage in the ad.

People who want "classic" cars of that era don't want taxi mielege on them that's why it won't of sold, my mate sold a red one with 3 owners 75k on 1.9 gti for £3500 last year within a week of advertising it, lad in work got £4500 for his mk2 golf gti 5 door 16v in red one previous owner 50k on the clock fsh, people want the cars but they want a good one, if it's good it'll sell.
I think a mk3 astra gsi would be cool there getting rare now

Right motor. Bit underpowered though. He'll decide to put a veyron engine in the boot then end up scrapping it

Not really. My time on the forums/FB pages when I had it, others were struggling to sell for a lot more with less miles.
It's not like I was asking anywhere near the price of others either. With higher mile classics you buy on condition IMO.
Ps Sorrento Green is 1 of the best colours for them.

At £6k, I'll bet that's still for sale in a few months time.

E36 M3 Evo, also available as a saloon. Will get a decent one for 6k.
Far, far, far better than a Cavalier.

I wouldn't say it's over priced though to be honest, low mileage great condition, never see them for sale and the ones I have seen people pay upto 3 grand for a rot box !
Wrong time of year to sell just after Christmas when people are skint though

Would the evo you had not have been exactly this, but double the price, and you sold it for reasons unrelated to the price?

Evo was my only car (apart from the mrs note) - now i have a company car and corsa b project so £10k is a bit too excessive for a weekend toy (and mrs has polo)
I also earn more than i did then so cost isnt a factor in why i dont want an evo... Jambo dont fancy an M3 - not keen on an e36 and wouldnt buy an e46 again

I wasn't talking about the cost of it, I was saying that you had that, which seems to fit your specs otherwise, but you didn't like it, didn't drive fast, whatever else at the time?
Now you want the exact same car.

All these old cars that were fun back in the day feel shit when you get in them these days compared to modern standards. Best left as memories.
