Great idea aren't they. Allegedly hard to get hold of though, even from VW.
Rear brake calipers turned up from TurboChris, look OK. Can't complain for £35.
Just waiting on Autovaux to send my wiper motor, really want to get this through the MOT so the fun can begin.
Also, got my Timing belt kit, water pump, rocker cover gasket, rocker cover bolts, wiper cover and thermostat to follow.

Doesn't help if people open and shut the boot with the spoiler, it cracked my brothers, also the tailgate came away from the mounting points in the car and had to be welded back on. Quality

Lol.
So since owning it it has hardly smoked at all, literally starting to think James was bonkers. Then on a run in traffic today on overun in the sweltering 14oc heat. Wowwee Fair amount of smoke from the old girl haha.
Also noticed how much needs doing to it body work wise, beginning to think I've bitten off more than I can chew. But I really like it, so hopefully will persevere.

Ok so today some bits got a spruce to see how much oil is pissing out the rocker cover before Shrek gets his mits dirty and replaces it next week.
Plans to replace the turbo have been accelerated (no pun intended). So looking for a precat pipe now too.
Here are some close ups of the abismal headlights which are being replaced ASAP and the terrible bumper too.
Icky green icky. Stood for a year remember! And check the clarity of those lenses
Worthy of note a lot of that is inside the headlight.
Sharkeyes will be replacing these monstrosities which I think will actually just be binned.
Other side bad but not as bad...
Bumper though....
Not sure if it comes out in the photo but was clearly prepped with a brillo.
And masked up by a ham fisted twat in a rush
Z20 LET goodness.
After a spit shine:

They look horrendous but wont be staying long. Just got other priorities at the moment. I had a look and saw it looks pretty easy to refurb them, but I cant find my stash of sand paper and not sure I have 1800/2000 either so would probably need to pick some up.
Anyone know where you can get a drill foam pad attachment from? Would be handy to use some G3 on these.
Not much of an update but got a JML Bobble off
gave it a try on my jumper and was amazed, so gave it a go on the seats. As with everything the YouTube video made it look amazing and tbh it made a difference but seemed to need a lot of persuasion to pick up any of the fibres. Think it is going to need some serious cleaning, Raceglaze Alcantara cleaner is the tits allegedly.
Crap pics:
Before, notice end of the seat by knees.
After:
Here is the weapon of choice:

I used the same for removing the bobles from the seats on my 182; I did find it better removing the adjustable guard as you could get a lot closer to the alcantara that way
