Well head gasket has gone and the head was warped.
But, he managed to drive it 35 miles to Pug Performance on Saturday so I reckon he was lieing just so he could get the conversion

Non-ecotec (c2.0xe) has L-reg spark plug cover. Ecoutec has the straight spark plug cover.

Its sooooooooo much fun
Deffo time i done it. Not regretting it for a minute though. Got a small coolent leak at the mo, gonna wait till it cools down and have a look. Bastids right at the back of the engine too
Other than that, it runs fine.
Lee, my strut brace fits no problem at all!! Well happy about that.
2.0litre owners, if u can source one, HP Raid (same as my shiney one) fStrut Brace fits
Only thing is, Powerflow want another £150 to have a new centre section done in a 2.25" bore in Stainless steel. Grrrrrrrrr, should only b about £70 as the old ones rusting. Grrrrrrrrr

ah ha, lee i may be booking my car in with around september time!! i was going to send it to velos for £1500 and get 135 bhp from my 1.4!
but if i sweet talk my mum as im insured under her then maybe 2.0 ltr!!
is that 1500 including all shafts, mounts etc!!??

blimey! £1500 sounds really good! i have seen you at southend lee, friend has an astra gsi with red top but mines not much slower as it is now, he don pull away much quicker and had job getting past at 40 - 70 mph
suppose with the corsa being lighter will be beter though!
ah yeah brakes, suppose il need huge brakes as well wont i?
also what about the exhaust? will i need to buy a new manifold! or for £1500 will it go in a 1.4 16v on the monday and come out a 2ltr 16v friday all done ready to drive?

astra gte brakes will be fine wouldnt go 4 v6. the manifold will come with the engine u buy. monday 2 monday probably not monday to friday as thats only 5 days quote: Originally posted by bradfincham
